Sydney VMUG is hosting a multi-session Lunch & Learn at the VMware Sydney office on Wednesday 19 August 2026, 12:00–13:30. Two real-world Broadcom sessions, back-to-back, with dedicated Q&A after each:

  • Main Session: A live AI Chatbot demo on VMware Cloud Foundation and Tanzu.
  • Second Session: A financial services customer story on migrating from another vendor's Fibre Channel storage to vSAN ESA.

Title: From Zero to Hero: An Application's AI-Ready Journey on VMware VCF and Tanzu

Description: As AI capabilities increasingly integrate into our professional and personal lives, understanding the underlying infrastructure is more important than ever. This demo-driven session explores how to leverage a combination of VMware and Tanzu solutions to evolve an application's capability using AI-aligned features. We will demonstrate this using an AI Chatbot, showing how it interacts with and controls the VMware platform it resides on while demystifying key AI terminology through practical examples.

Description: A real-world migration case study from a financial services customer who moved from a Fibre Channel storage array to vSAN ESA. The presenters will walk through how they supported the customer across the engagement phases and share the challenges encountered along the way.
